ENEMIES

Nixon had one. Playboy Magazine has one too. We're referring to their enemies list. Playboy accorded top honors to Anita Bryant. Playboy enemy No. 2 is Ed Davies, Los Angeles Police Chief whose attacks on feminists, gays and message parlors would certainly merit him at least honorable mention on our own. Other Playboy enemies include anti-feminist Phyllis Schafly, Philadelphia Mayor Frank Rizzo and New Hampshire Governor Meldrin Thomson who makes no secret about his anti-gay bias.

High Gear's enemy list is general at this time. It has just a few names, but they are decidely anti High Gear. They are the few advertisers who placed advertisement in your paper, promised to pay for the ads and they stuck us with the bill. Surprisingly, most of them are still in business. In this day when we're asking gays to boycott products advertised by anti-gay hucksters, we may ask you to boycott the business establishments of those few who attempt to undermine the viability of this paper.
